Install SocialPhish Tools in Termux

In this article, I will show you how to install SocialPhish tools on your Android smartphone. If you have not yet heard of it, SocialPhish is a phishing framework for security professionals and hobbyists that helps you create and deliver phishing attacks. It allows the user to set up a phishing campaign with minimal effort, then runs the campaign through any available channel (e.g., SMS, email, online web). In this article, I will show you how to install SocialPhish on your Android smartphone using Termux.

2. Requirements

If you want to become a freelance writer, the first thing you need is a passion for writing. Writing is something that can’t be taught. You either have it or you don’t. If you are passionate about writing, then you will be able to make a good living as a freelance writer. You also need to be a good researcher. You need to have the skills to collect data from various sources and come up with good research articles. As a freelance writer, you also need to be good at craft content for your website, recipes, and marketing materials. The list of skills goes on.

However, there’s a catch. The skills you need as a freelance writer and researcher are not the same skills that you need as a penetration tester. There are different kinds of skills based on your profession and specialty. If you want to become a freelance writer, you need to become a good researcher and clairvoyant. If you want to become a freelance reporter, you need to become an editor. And, if you want to become a full-time penetration tester, you need to become an expert user and application administrator. As you come to know these skills, you will find yourself more in demand for freelance writing jobs.

It’s quite easy to become obsessed with studying skills. While studying the contents of various blogs, you believe that you learned something new. However, the truth is that most people who co-meditate these blogs are just fading away. To save yourself from getting distracted by studying skills, you should go beyond the minimum knowledge and apply some critical thinking. Think of reading as a kind of test.

3. Installation

The only thing that you need to install this app is Adobe Air which can be downloaded from http://get.adobe.com/air/

The recommended way of running Termux is to install it in an Android Virtual Machine (ARMv8). To download and install Termux in an Android VM (a virtual machine), go to https://www.roav.io/termux/download.html You will need to sign up for a Termux account to access the download page (https://www.roav.io/termux/). After the signup, click on the “Login” button. Once the login page appears, select “Download”. Once the installation is complete, you will have to restart your device to take effect.

In Termux, go to Tools > Termux. Install by selecting:

After installing Termux mobile, you will have to enable the Termux attribute in your Google Account settings. Visit this page: https://www.google.com/accounts/setup and follow the instructions after logging in for the first time. Follow Next until the next screen appears.

On your Android phone, open the Google Play on your home screen or the search field on your home screen. Tap “Add/Remove Apps”. Scroll down to Termux and tap on it.

On your desktop, go to Applications -> Termux. Then, on the left side of the screen, tap on the termux icon.

You can run a text scan to gain access to all messages on your phone. In each message, there is a small photo that can be selected. Open the message and press backspace until you see a notification “Active: {number of lines of text}”. Put backspace on where you can type the number of the current message. After that, choose the text you want to scan and press start in the bottom left corner. You will see a slider appear on the top right part of the screen. Tap on the slider to reduce the size of the photo. You can use this slider as many times as you want.

4. Using SocialPhish on your Android Mobile device

SocialPhish is a mobile app that allows you to test your social media security and is available for free on the Google Play store. The app looks at your social media accounts and tells you the strength of your passwords, any social media apps that have access to your email, and if you’re using 2-factor authentication.

There’s no point in having SocialPhish if all you get is a pop-up asking for your password. In this case, you would have to download and install this Termux extension from the below link.

This Termux app basically validates your email address and gives you a seamless experience while you can use social media. If you already use Termux, this extension will integrate seamlessly.

All you have to do is to add the SocialPhish extension to Termux as per the below screenshot

Once you have the extension configured on your Termux, all you have to do is to go to the SocialPhish Settings on the extension and tick the Add Termux App button.

Under the following screenshot, there’s also an App ID (ID), Product Key, and Redirect URL where you can add a URL that you want to redirect people to when they click on the Messenger or Discord buttons.

Turning on the app enables the Mobile Authenticator screenshot below and sets the Encryption Algorithm to PBKDF2.

When you want to resume a Skype call without lifting your phone, just long-press on the icon of the chat window, and it will go into a slide-over mode and automatically resume anytime that you need.

While this app does clean up your phone, being spammed and pinged with useless information at top speed can quickly turn your attention away from it. This allows you to stay away from the popup message until you find something better to do.

Step 1. Download Termux.

Step 2. Open Termux and press the Clone or download button on the top (which is on the right side).

Step 3. Once a new directory has been created, go inside it and install the Termux app onto your SD card.

Step 4. If you have downloaded the Termux app and installed it, open it and tap on the Install button.

Step 5. After Termux is installed, you will be able to see it on your Apps (Applications) screen, which should now look like this.

Step 6. Click on the Posify button if not visible anymore, you will see the following screen. Type the current account password.

Step 7. Provide your operating system administrator’s password or choose a different one. Why it is so important? Well, it will make the next step much easier. Type in your security question and answer it.

Step 8. A confirmation dialog box will be presented. Answer Yes (or whatever answer you typed in step 7) to proceed.

Step 9. A new menu item named Social will have appeared at the top. Select it then you’ll be presented with a list of Social plugins that will be useful for us.

Step 10. Search for “Phish” in Termux and install it. After doing so, you’ll be presented with a popup screen. Tap Install.

Step 11. Wait, and then you will be presented with a confirmation dialog box. Tap OK to install Phish. A pop-up will appear now asking if you want to verify it, answer Yes.

Step 12. They accepted it and now Phish should appear on your apps list.
